What's new in HostBase

We ship new features regularly. Here are the most important changes.

  1. Monitoring, alerts and upgrade suggestions

    Platform
    • Continuous monitoring of every database and the whole server: CPU and memory against the instance, connections, TPS, cache hit ratio, API traffic.
    • Alerts for overload (CPU, RAM, connections), 5xx errors, slow APIs and services that are down.
    • Warnings at 80% and 100% of plan limits (database size, storage) with a higher-plan suggestion.
    • A notification bell in the dashboard, a notifications page and in-project banners with an upgrade button.
  2. Backups with restore

    Database
    • A daily backup of every active project at 2:00 UTC, last 7 copies kept — on all plans.
    • On-demand manual backups, one-click restore and pg_dump file download.
  3. Edge Functions hosting

    Edge Functions
    • Function list, templates (Stripe, Resend, AI chat with Claude, CORS, scheduled jobs) and a code editor with ⌘S deploys.
    • Function secrets (with .env import), per-function JWT enforcement, an invocation tester, metrics and logs.
    • Management API and MCP tools for deploying functions and managing secrets.
  4. Reports, logs, advisors and query performance

    Dashboard
    • API, database, resource and function reports over 1 h / 24 h / 7 days.
    • API request log and logs for every service in the stack, with live mode.
    • Security and performance advisors with ready-made fix SQL.
    • Slowest queries from pg_stat_statements and a view of active queries.
  5. Database, Auth and Storage management

    DashboardDatabase
    • A table editor with filters, sorting, adding rows and creating tables; a SQL editor that runs queries.
    • Tables, indexes, extensions, roles, active connections and pg_cron jobs in the dashboard.
    • Auth users: search, add, ban and delete; a Storage file browser with uploads.
    • Instance resizing (Nano–XL) in project settings.
  6. A redesigned dashboard

    Dashboard
    • A sidebar with project sections, a ⌘K command palette and breadcrumbs.
    • A new project overview with KPI tiles and charts.
  7. Real Supabase stacks for every project

    Platform
    • Every project gets its own stack: Postgres 17, Auth, REST, Realtime, Storage, pg-meta and Edge Runtime — ready in about 20 s.
    • API at https://<ref>.host.ulewicz.space, Postgres at db-<ref>.host.ulewicz.space:5432 (TLS).
    • A server in Warsaw (Azure Poland Central); pause, resume, delete and database password reset from the dashboard.
    • An MCP server with the execute_sql tool and the POST /api/v1/projects/{ref}/database/query endpoint.
  8. Public launch

    Platform
    • Sign-up, organizations and the dashboard open to everyone.
    • Free, Pro and Team plans billed in PLN.
    • Personal access tokens (hb_pat_), Management API v1 and a remote MCP server at /api/mcp.
