Workers

Heavy jobs, your own isolated server.

When an Edge Function (Deno, short invocations) is not enough: upload Python, Node.js, Bun or Go code - or your own Dockerfile - and we build the image and run it in an isolated container wired to your database. PDF and image processing, ML models, scrapers, queue consumers and nightly jobs.

Capabilities

What you get with Workers

Four worker types

HTTP at a public HTTPS address, always-on background processes, cron on a schedule and a Supabase pgmq queue consumer.

Python, Node, Bun, Go, Dockerfile

Ready presets (requirements.txt, package.json, go.mod) or any language through your own Dockerfile or a zip archive.

gVisor isolation

Every worker in its own container: unprivileged user, read-only filesystem, CPU/RAM limits and a private network that only sees your database.

Sizes and replicas

Small 0.5 vCPU / 512 MB, Medium 1 vCPU / 1 GB, Large 2 vCPU / 4 GB - up to 3 replicas with load balancing. You pay for hours of runtime.

Versions and safe deploys

Every deploy builds a new image. If the new version fails to start we fall back to the previous one; older ones are one click away.

Logs, metrics, alerts

Live and build logs, CPU and RAM charts, and notifications for crash loops and out-of-memory kills.

Use cases

What teams use it for

On-demand processing

PDF generation, thumbnails, OCR, conversions - an HTTP API with more RAM than a serverless function.

Queues and background work

A pgmq consumer processing orders, e-mails and syncs with no time limit.

Scheduled jobs

Nightly reports, data cleanup and imports on a cron schedule.

The rest of the platform

Every service shares the same database, authentication and permissions.
