New dashboard: reports, logs, Edge Functions hosting, backups and alerts
The HostBase team
A few hours after launch we are shipping the biggest dashboard update yet. Everything below runs on the real Supabase stacks of your projects in Warsaw — not on mock-ups.
Reports and logs
The Reports tab shows API traffic by service (REST, Auth, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions), response codes, p50/p95 latency and the most frequently called paths, plus database CPU and memory against the instance limit, connections, TPS and cache hit rate — over 1 h, 24 h or 7 days. In Logs you will find the API request log and the logs of Postgres, Auth, REST, Realtime, Storage and Edge Functions, with a live mode.
Advisors and query performance
The security advisor points out tables without RLS and SECURITY DEFINER functions in the public schema; the performance advisor finds missing and unused indexes. Every finding comes with ready-to-run fix SQL. The query performance view is built on pg_stat_statements.
Edge Functions hosting
You write functions in the in-dashboard editor (templates: Stripe webhook, email via Resend, AI chat with Claude, CORS and more), store secrets, require a JWT, test an invocation and see metrics and logs for each function. Deployment also works through the Management API and the MCP tool deploy_edge_function.
Backups
Every active project — including those on the Free plan — gets a daily backup (the 7 most recent copies) and manual backups. Restore with one click or download a pg_dump file.
Notifications and upgrade suggestions
The platform continuously monitors every database and the whole server. When CPU, memory or the number of connections approach the instance limit, you get an alert with a suggestion for a larger size. When the database or storage exceeds 80% of the plan limit, you get a suggestion for a higher plan. Alerts show up in the dashboard bell and as a banner in the project.
Details are in the docs: Monitoring and notifications, Edge Functions and Backups. The full list of changes is in the changelog.
