We are live: HostBase — Postgres and backend for your apps, hosted in Poland
The HostBase team
Supabase did something great for developers: it showed that Postgres can be the foundation of an entire backend — with auth, files, realtime and functions. Yet many teams in Poland and Europe run into two obstacles: a dollar price that grows faster than the project, and the lawyer's question, “where do the data physically live?”.
That is why we are building HostBase.
What you get from today
- A separate Supabase stack for every project — Postgres 17 (with pgvector, PostGIS, pg_cron and dozens of other extensions), Auth, REST, Realtime, Storage and Edge Functions. A project is ready in about 20 seconds.
- Supabase API compatibility —
@supabase/supabase-js,supabase_flutterand other clients work unchanged. You just swap the URL and keys. - Warsaw region (
pl-waw-1) — database, files and backups never leave Poland. More EU regions are on the way. - A dashboard like Supabase Studio: table and SQL editor, reports, logs, advisors, query performance, backups, Edge Functions and load notifications.
- Prices in złoty: the Pro plan costs 49 PLN net per month.
- An MCP server from day one — Claude, Cursor and other agents create projects, run SQL and deploy functions.
A free plan that never pauses
Projects on the Free plan are not put to sleep after a week of inactivity. A prototype you show a client once a month simply works.
What is next
In the coming months we will deliver: a connection pooler, point-in-time recovery, off-server backups, more EU regions, OAuth and SMTP configuration in the dashboard, and database branching. Follow the changelog.
